Representative Cameron Henry Files Legislation to Phase out the Louisiana State Income Tax

Representative Cameron Henry (R-Jefferson) has created a plan that phases out the state income tax over the next ten years. "It is time our state becomes competitive and aggressive in attracting good-paying jobs to our state," Henry said. By 2019, Louisiana residents will not be paying individual state tax on income, estates, or trusts. "This will make Louisiana companies more attractive and spur substantial economic growth. Some want to grow the economy by pouring more money into government spending. I want to give families more money and control over their tax dollars," Henry stated.

After researching the successful sales tax holiday the state of South Carolina launched, State Representative Cameron Henry (R-Jefferson) took the lead in introducing "The Second Amendment Recognition Act" in the state known as Sportsman's Paradise.
